Community Meal Service
Beginning this Fall 2022, St. James will host a bi-weekly community luncheon. There is no fee to participate.
We invite you to join us beginning Wednesday October 5th at 12:00 for a sit down meal in our Hall.

Community Garden
Started in 2012, our Community Garden is a communal garden on the church property open to members of the community including the Food Bank.
If you, or anyone you know, are interested in planting, maintaining and harvesting your own vegetables, fruit, or flowers this year, please contact Tammy Rutherford to “adopt” a plot in the St. James’ Community Garden.

Centre Wellington Food Bank
This is a great, community volunteering opportunity.
If you are seeking food for yourself or your family or if you know someone who is dealing with hunger, the Centre Wellington Food Bank is ready to lend a helping hand.
Beyond providing food, the Food Bank is committed to making connections to other agencies and programs, providing advice in times of crisis, fostering self-esteem through participation, sharing its commercial kitchen and supporting the struggle for social justice.
Items currently most needed:
Pasta sauce, Habitant chunky soup, pasta side dishes, rice side dishes, canned vegetables, small canned soup, canned kidney beans, canned six bean blend, peanut butter, juice, juice boxes, toilet paper, canned salmon. (updated August 2022)
The Food Bank has once again generously offered to help support the St. James Wednesday Community Meals beginning October 2022.
